Mohanad Yaqubi

Mohanad Yaqubi est cinéaste, producteur et l’un des fondateurs de la maison de production Idioms Film, basée à Ramallah. Yaqubi est l’un des fondateurs du collectif de recherche et de conservation Subversive Films qui se concentre sur les pratiques cinématographiques militantes, ainsi qu’un membre fondateur du Palestine Film Institute, qui se concentre sur le soutien, la promotion et la préservation du cinéma palestinien. Il est chercheur résident à The School of the Art (KASK) à Gand, en Belgique, depuis 2017. Le premier long métrage de Yaqubi Off Frame AKA Revolution Until Victory (2016) a été présenté en première au TIFF, Berlinale, Cinéma du réel, Dubai IFF et à Yamagata, parmi cinquante autres premières et projections à travers le monde.

Mohanad Yaqubi is a filmmaker, producer, and one of the founders of the Ramallah-based production house, Idioms Film. Yaqubi is one of the founders of the research and curatorial collective Subversive Films that focuses on militant film practices, also, a founding member of the Palestine Film Institute, that focus on supporting, promoting, and preserving Palestinian cinema, he is a resident researcher at The School of the Art (KASK) in Gent, Belgium since 2017. Yaqubi’s first feature film Off Frame AKA Revolution Until Victory (2016) made its premiere at TIFF, Berlinale, Cinéma du réel, Dubai IFF, and Yamagata among fifty other premiers and screenings around the world.
