FR : Sarah Vanagt (1976) réalise des documentaires, des installations vidéo et des photographies, dans lesquels elle combine son intérêt pour l’histoire et pour le cinéma (et ses origines). Son œuvre comprend des films tels que After Years of Walking (2003), Little Figures (2003), The Corridor (2010), Dust Breeding (2013), Every Tear (2018) et Divinations (2019) ; et des installations vidéo telles que Les Mouchoirs de Kabila (2005), Power Cut (2007), Ash Tree (2007), The Wave (2012), Showfish (2016) et The Models (2024).
Son travail a été présenté dans des festivals de cinéma (FidMarseille, Viennale, Doclisboa, Idfa Amsterdam, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Madrid/Berlin, Visions du Réel) et dans des musées (Frankfurter Kunstverein, Fact Liverpool, NGBK Berlin, Shedhalle Zürich). Le court métrage muet Girl with a fly (2013) a été présenté pour la première fois à la 5e Biennale de Moscou. Les films In Waking Hours (2015) et Still Holding Still (2015) ont été présentés en avant-première au Festival international du film de Rotterdam. L’installation Showfish a été présentée au M HKA, le musée d’art contemporain d’Anvers, en octobre 2016. Son dernier film, Wishful Filming (2025), a été présenté en avant-première à Doclisboa et a remporté le Healthy Workspaces Film Award. Sarah Vanagt a également réalisé une œuvre d’art pour une station de métro à Bruxelles, qui sera bientôt inaugurée.

Her latest film Wishful Filming (2025) premiered at Doclisboa and won the Healthy Workspaces Film Award. Vanagt also made an artwork for a metro station in Brussels, which will soon be inaugurated.
