Le mensonge et la culpabilité sont au cœur de la relation de Patrick avec sa mère Randa. Par le biais de messages audio et appels vidéo collectés à travers les années, il dresse un portrait de la vie de sa mère au Liban et de la sienne en Belgique. Tour à tour émouvant, provocateur et hilarant, Mea Culpa interroge les liens entre identités nationales et sexuelles d’un jeune émigré palestinien.
Lies and guilt are at the core of Patrick’s relationship with his mother Randa. Over the years, he collected their audio messages and video calls. He now transforms them into a portrait of her life in Lebanon and his in Belgium. By turns moving, provocative and hilarious, Mea Culpa questions the links between national and sexual identities for a young Palestinian emigrant.
